THRUSTMASTER was “Founded in 1992 and purchased by Guillemot Corporation” (Founded in 1984) “in 1999“, According to THRUSTMASTER (2020). Guillemont had its Initial Public Offering (I.P.O.) of stock on November 27, 1998, According to Guillemot (2020). Guillemont Stock is trading on the Euronext Paris Stock Exchange under the symbol “GUI” for 2.96 EUROS per share today.
In the year 1997, THRUSTMASTER built a Rotational Hand Controller (R.H.C.) for both the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (N.A.S.A.) and Lockheed Martin (L.M.) Corporation for in the Space Shuttle Simulator used by N.A.S.A. Astronauts. ” Its design mirrors the action of the Rotational Hand Controller (R.H.C.) built for the Johnson Space Center and Lockheed Martin by THRUSTMASTER. Crafted for use in Space Shuttle training simulations, the RHC is utilized by astronauts on the ground to practice runway touchdowns, as well as in orbit to sharpen maneuvering and landing techniques,” According to N.A.S.A. The first products out of the new line will be High–Fidelity AIRBUS Industries side stick and throttle controls releasing on June 25th 2020 and September 2020, respectively.
“The TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition is an ergonomic replica of the Airbus sidestick (A320/A320neo type, 1:1 scale) featuring 12 remappable action buttons offering a multitude of possibilities, plus a built-in throttle axis including a unique feature found on airliners,” according to THRUSTMASTER (2020).
