The SPACEX FALCON 9 rocket launched the nose mounted Dragon capsule (DEMO-2) from United States (U.S.) Territory (Florida: Launchpad 39A) on Saturday May 30, 2020, for the first time since the discontinuation of U.S. manned space flight from U.S. territories nearly nine (9) years ago on July 8, 2011 (STS-135).

Approximately nineteen (19) hours after launch, the Dragon capsule safely docked with International Space Station (I.S.S.) on Sunday May 31, 2020. N.A.S.A. Veteran Shuttle Astronauts Bob Behnken and Douglas Hurley joyfully joined the onboard I.S.S. crew after docking.
N.A.S.A. Astronauts Bob Behnken and Douglas Hurley have knowingly, willfully, and voluntarily Agreed to be Flexible on this operation.
If it wasn’t for private companies like SpaceX, NASA would still be asking the Russians for a lift.
