“The law states that Air Force Space Command will be re-designated the United States Space Force, that will happen immediately,” Gen. John Raymond, the commander of US Space Command and Air Force Space Command, told reporters at the Pentagon Friday (Browne, 2019). “Raymond said that the 16,000 active duty airmen and civilians currently in the Air Force Space Command will be assigned to the new United States Space Force, though officials made clear those personnel will not actually become members of the Space Force and will remain in the Air Force for the time being,” according to Browne (2019).
“A senior US Air Force official said that some 5,000 to 6,000 personnel out of the 16,000 will eventually be transferred to the Space Force,” according to Browne (2019).
Forty Million ($40,000,000) United States Dollars (U.S.D.) have been assigned to the creation of the U.S. SPACE FORCE for the U.S. Congressionally Approved 2020 Fiscal Year (F.Y.) budget (Brown, 2019).
The U.S. SPACE FORCE (U.S.S.F.) will be “stood–up” over the next eighteen (18) months, according to U.S. SPACE FORCE (2020).
The MISSION of the U.S. SPACE FORCE: ” The USSF is a military service that organizes, trains, and equips space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force. USSF responsibilities include developing military space professionals, acquiring military space systems, maturing the military doctrine for space power, and organizing space forces to present to our Combatant Commands,” according to U.S. SPACE FORCE (2020).
The U.S. SPACE FORCE will effectively utilize its Assets, Instruments, and Resources to provide both Planetary Stability and Planetary Supremacy.
